A rupee (RS) is just over two cents. For example, the mini-bar price of a juice-box is just under (US) $1.00. With hotel mini-bar prices similar to US vending machine prices, India is the first place I've ever been that seems to actually encourage you to purchase from the mini-bar without the guild associated with wasting your money. (This was true in every hotel we stayed at.) US properties could learn a lesson. |
