Rob now plays the mandolin. What's that, his fifth instrument? Let's see..... piano, keyboard, drums, saxophone, violin, and ukulele. Nope, he is up to seven instruments played well. My incredible brother.

The mandolin is a actually a 400 year old descendant of a lute.
Its tuned the same as a violin so all of the classical and Celtic music
I played was written for lute or violin or mandore.
I've mellowed out in my old age.
I play Celtic fiddle ,mandolin ,sax and cello now.
